The Hideaway Recording studio began back in the late 90's when John moved from New Jersey to Nashville to chase his own songwriting career. A 4 track turned to 8, then to 24 and just like that the studio was born. John started recording his own band as well as friends' demos and before long a small list of clients filled the calendar and new career began. After getting married to wife, Nicole, the studio found its new home in St Petersburg, FL, Nicole's home town. This is where john's passion for music making and collaborating really began to grow. A 13 year run with studio/venue/cafe, The Hideaway Cafe was home to countless artists both local and nationwide. 100's of artists found their way to the studio & cafe and as many live recordings and studio projects were produced and recorded. 

Since the Hideaway Cafe's closing in 2022, The Hideaway Recording Studio found its new digs at the Kelly's home in St Petersburg where John continues to produce, record and master local artists. John also mixes audio for an Austin based film Company, Pilot Moon Films that just received a Telly award honoring excellence in video and television across all screens for their new live performance series, From ONE to TENN.
